Laser treatment that closes the faulty vein from within — walk in, walk out.
Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins — usually in the legs — caused by valves inside the vein failing, so blood pools instead of returning to the heart. They are extremely common in India and progress slowly if untreated. Modern treatment does not strip the vein out: a laser fibre closes it from the inside through a 2 mm entry.
An ultrasound maps your veins and shows exactly which valve has failed. You see it on the screen with the doctor.
A small numb patch of skin at the entry point. No general anesthesia, no getting 'put under'.
A thin fibre passes into the faulty vein through a 2 mm entry and seals it shut from within.
Blood reroutes through healthy veins immediately. You walk out the same day with a plaster, not stitches.
The treated vein is permanently closed. New varicose veins can appear over years in other veins, which is why we correct the underlying valve failure and advise on prevention.
You feel the initial anesthetic injection and pressure sensations after that. Most patients describe it as far easier than they expected.
They tend to progress — skin changes, pigmentation, and in later stages venous ulcers that are slow to heal. Early treatment is simpler treatment.
Bring your scans and reports, or send them on WhatsApp first. One consultation answers most of your questions.
